Intense pulsed light ( IPL ) used as second-genaration flash lamps is popular among

dermatologists. Therefore photo rejuvenation can focus on both dilated vessels and facial redness and on pigment deposition, two treatments one after each other in one session . To reach a satisfying result both treatments have to be repeated once or twice in a monthly or at six weekly intervals. Any flash lamp treatment causes increased redness and oedema , which disappears the following day.
